How much does a dental implant cost?

A healthy, bright smile is priceless, but how much can a reliable, long-lasting dental implant cost?

Economic evaluation is a decisive factor in the decision to undergo dental implantology. The cost of an implantological intervention becomes the primary factor that guides the choice of patients, so it is important to offer high quality services at a sustainable cost.

Dental implantology refers to the set of surgical techniques aimed at restoring the patient's natural teeth through the reconstruction of one or more missing teeth. The cost of an implant depends on several factors: the number of implants, the difficulties of the operation, the need to increase bone volume. To ensure the protection of the well-being and health of patients, it is essential to take into account the combination of all these factors.

Our medical team works to offer the best solutions to the problems that patients present: it is important to remember that each patient is unique and that to estimate the cost of an implant we always consider it necessary to evaluate each individual case through an accurate examination.

The cost of a dental implant: the main factors

We said that the factors that affect the costs of an implant are different; let's try to list them in brief.

Let's start by clarifying the difference between two techniques: traditional implantology and minimally invasive implantology. Traditional implantology is a technique that involves the use of stitches. Minimally invasive implantology, on the other hand, allows you not to incise the gums and does not require stitches; this technique, although more expensive than traditional, offers several benefits to the patient, first and foremost the reduction of post-operative pain. Whenever possible, it is therefore advisable to use minimally invasive implantology.

The second variable is related to the choice between immediate or delayed loading. With immediate loading it is possible to return to fixed teeth in a single session. It is a technique that has a higher cost but allows you to return immediately to smile with a fixed prosthesis. With the delayed load, however, after the implants have been inserted, it is necessary to wait before applying the fixed teeth so that the osseointegration can take place.

The third factor is the rehabilitation of an entire arch or small bridges or single teeth. Of course, the more extensive the rehabilitation, the higher the cost of the operation. When all the teeth are missing or are about to be lost, the entire arch is rehabilitated. If some teeth are missing, it is often sufficient to build bridges, while in the case of single missing teeth it is sufficient to insert a single implant.

The fourth variable depends on the quality of the implant. There are many different types of implants with different characteristics that do not offer the same quality guarantees for patients. The Degidi dental clinic only offers high quality implants, does not select and does not offer patients cheaper, lower quality implants, which increase the risk of failure.

The last factor is related to the type of implant prosthesis: there are many different types, from the least expensive, such as removable overdenture or fixed resin prostheses, to those of intermediate quality such as composite prosthesis, up to the most precious prostheses with ceramic teeth on metal or zirconium structure, the excellence in prosthetics.

Reduce costs while maintaining the quality of your dental implants

In conclusion, in order to reduce the costs of an implant on the basis of Dr. Degidi's experience, a good quality/price ratio can be obtained by reducing the number of hours in the chair, using standard components and using alternative prosthetic materials, but always respecting the final quality of the prosthetic "product" delivered to the patient: we avoid reducing costs by choosing products not supported by scientific research or by being satisfied with approximate and poorly precise products.

The Degidi Clinic, thanks to the work of an expert and qualified team, has been guaranteeing its patients successful interventions for years with satisfactory results from an aesthetic and functional point of view. The services offered by our staff in the field of implantology are: dental implantology, immediate loading implants and zygomatic implants.

Implantology at the Degidi clinic is a non-invasive and non-traumatic procedure. Immediate loading is the best solution to use when you have a total or partial lack of teeth and a certain amount of bone. In a single session it is possible to place the implant and the prostheses above, hence enabling you find your smile in a short time. The zygomatic implant is instead an innovative technique, a valid alternative to bone transplantation, which is applied when the bone is present in insufficient quantities or absent.
